Knights suffer big losses

Pinchbeck United are still looking for their first win of the season.
The Knights lost 5-2 at Kimberley Miners Welfare on Saturday, which came after a 4-0 mid-week loss at Boston Town.
They’ve conceded 21 goals in their last five games in all competitions, scoring just three times themselves.
Pinchbeck actually started well at the weekend with Ben Johnson hitting the post on two separate occasions.
But it was Kimberley who took a 21st minute lead after a mix up at the back allowed Joshua Mundell to score.
The Knights hit back just six minutes later, Taylor Jaine with the finish.
But six minutes before the break the home side restored their advantage through Daniel Tuck.
Kimberley were clinical in the second period, extending their lead after Jaine got the wrong side of his defender and conceded a penalty dispatched by Aaron Coyle.
Worse followed as Mundell netted in the 79th and 89th minute to seal his hat-trick and Kimberley’s fifth.
There was some consolation though as debutant Flynn Slater netted at the back post on his debut late on to make it 5-2.
The previous fixture was a similar story with Pinchbeck keeping it tight until Boston Town ran away with it in the second period.
Debutant keeper Will Lakin had little to do in the first period.
It was just before half time when Andre Williams thought he’d put the Knights ahead only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.
Boston then quickly launched the ball upfield catching Pinchbeck off-guard and former Pinchbeck player Harry Limb netting.
The second goal came just moments after the break from Liam Adams, who was denied another moments later by Lakin.
He could do little when one-on-one with Marshall Young who made it 3-0 before another former Knight Zane Millar, who had come off the bench, was fouled in the box and Layton Maddison slotted home Boston’s fourth from the spot.
It’s just two points from six games for Pinchbeck.
They were due to host Deeping Rangers at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field on Wednesday night (result not known as The Voice went to press).
They face a trip to Hucknall Town on Saturday before a run of home games begin with Lincoln United first up in the League Cup on Wednesday, September 6.
