Ram raid attempt on Spalding shop

An attempted ram raid has taken place today (Tuesday) on a clothes shop in Spalding.

A Renault Clio was used to smash the front window of Robert Goddard in Vine Street at around 2am.

The vehicle, which had been stolen in Spalding earlier, was found abandoned a short time later on the A16 bypass near the junction with Fulney Lane.

It’s understood that  was full entry to the shop was not gained and nothing was taken. A scene guard is currently in place.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in Vine Street in the early hours of the morning, or who saw the silver Clio being abandoned afterwards.
