LETTERS – Silent auction raised £400

Our silent auction for a signed copy of David Peatling’s scarce and collectable book “Goin’ to the Dance” finished last Friday, and I’m delighted to report that one very generous member of the public sent in the winning bid of £333.35!

The gentleman in question has modestly asked to remain anonymous, but he gave me permission to mention the amount.

The book had also been Gift Aided by the person who kindly donated it, which means that with the Gift Aid added on top, Sue Ryder has benefited by more than £400!

We would like therefore to express our sincerest gratitude to the generosity of both the donor and especially our winning bidder on behalf of Sue Ryder.
