More than 200 people took the chance to find out more about a huge housing and commercial scheme proposal for Holbeach.
Organisers are sifting through feedback from an information day at the University of Lincoln campus on September 17.
About 1,000 homes and a new primary school are planned on parcels of land owned by Lincolnshire County Council, Bovis Homes and a Mr and Mrs Goodley between Spalding Road, the A151 (Welbourne Lane South) and the A17.
Mike Braithwaite, planning consultant for Robert Doughty Consultancy, which is co-ordinating the project was pleased with the consultation exercise.
Concerns raised included capacity of services in the town, drainage and loss of agricultural land, but the economic benefits of a proposed food enterprise zone were welcomed.
Mr Braithwaite said: “This is a very significant development so there is going to be some bad and some good comments.
“We have had over 70 forms and emails sent back to us. There was also a petition prepared beforehand with concerns, some of which we put to bed.”
Up to 3,000 leaflets were delivered to Holbeach as the firm sought to be open and encourage feedback.
An outline planning application could be submitted to South Holland District Council before the end of the year.
