Girls are gold standard

Two members of Pinchbeck Girlguiding have been given the highest award possible.

Amber Coleman (7) has been given the gold Rainbow award, the first from the group to receive it.
And Laycie-Ann Creek is also the first Brownie from her unit to achieve the gold Brownie award.
Leader Amy Coleman said: “They have gone above and beyond to achieve their highest awards within their units.”
Amber, of 1st Pinchbeck Rainbows, was last week presented her gold award by the district commissioner Carole Baker.
“She has put so much effort and determination into achieving this award, including completing every interest badge in the book,” said Amy. “Amber is a Rainbow Superstar and her unit are very proud of her.”
Laycie-Ann (10), of 1st Pinchbeck Brownies, achieved her gold award after nearly three years with the unit.
“We’re so proud of Laycie-Ann for all of the work she has put in to achieve this incredible award and I was honoured and privileged to be able to award her with her gold at the last meeting together as she will be starting her guides journey after the Easter holidays.
“They’re two very exceptional girls who I can see will go on to achieve so much success within guiding.
“Well done girls.”
