Three vehicles involved in Spalding collision causing traffic problems

Three vehicles, one of which has hit a tree, have been involved in a collision in Spalding which is creating traffic delays.

One member of the public told The Voice that three fire crews, Lincolnshire Police and ambulances are currently at the scene on the junction of West Elloe Avenue and Pinchbeck Road.

The AA states that the road is ‘partially blocked and queueing traffic due to crash on A151 West Elloe Avenue both ways near B1356 Pinchbeck Road. A detour is in operation.”

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: “This is a report of a collision involving three vehicles and one has left the road and collided with a tree at Pinchbeck Road, Spalding.

“This was reported at 12.53pm today. Emergency services are on scene at the moment.

“The road is closed, but traffic is still passable, but we ask people avoid the road for the next few hours while we clear the scene.”

A spokesman from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said: “Crews from Boston, Crowland and Bourne attended this incident which was a report of a car going into a tree.

“Firefighters made the scene and vehicles safe. All persons self-released from the vehicles.”
