Vine House branches out

The new Vine House Farm Shop and cafe has opened its doors to the public.

After around seven years of planning the newly-built facility in Deeping St Nicholas next door to the old shop opened its doors to the public on Thursday, June 10.
The new store allows Vine House to offer a wider selection of local produce on sale, including home and locally grown fruit and vegetables, an in-store butchery hosted by Grasmere Farm, a wide-selection of local produce, Lincolnshire-brewed ales and wines, fresh locally baked bread, and their own free- range eggs.
And on top of that is the new 70-seater cafe, which will serve fresh, local, and home-grown produce on its menu, as well as an outside decking area overlooking the wildlife pond and a larger carpark with electric car charging points.
The first person through the doors was given freshly picked strawberries, home grown organic asparagus and freshly laid eggs as a thank you for their custom.
General manager Amy Wood said: “It’s a fantastic feeling to have the shop open.
“We’ve got a great team and an even greater range of products on offer.”
Nicholas Watts, the Farm’s founder, is over the moon to be able to open the shop and café, describing it as “the realisation of a long-held dream”.
