Richard Williams finished in a top ten place at Saturday’s Snowden Field Parkrun in Crowland. The Halmer Harriers runner completed the 5K course eighth in 23 minutes 45 seconds.
Clubmate Simon Eldridge was seven places further back, 26:05, with Rebecca Pearce the ninth female to cross the line, 40th overall in 32:46 in the field of 72 finishers.
First home was Sam Ground in a course personal best time of 18:47, six seconds ahead of Mark Redwood.
Five more Harriers took to the Ferry Meadows course in Peterborough, where Adam Caress clocked 20:19 to finish 33rd of 636 runners, joggers and walkers.
Martin Wallis was 353rd, 29:41; Karen Wallis 532nd, 37:03; Jayne Pell 552nd, 38:19; and Kathryn Chapman 606th, 48:24.
Volunteers for this Saturday’s Snowden Field are being supplied by Werrington Joggers, although all volunteers are welcome.
Last week saw the 11 millionth Park runner sign up internationally, with Crowland welcoming 18 first-timers.
The regular weekly 5K event attracts runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and is part of a global phenomenon that sees thousands of people take on the challenge.
Runners, joggers, walkers, buggy-pushers and dog walkers can all join in, with times taken of anything up to an hour and a quarter.
