Some Knock-Out Cup surprises

The Spalding and District Snooker League has broken for Christmas so there were only a few matches this week.

In a Division Three rearranged game, Consti C beat Gosberton C 6-0.
John Walker (r28), Dave Banister (o7), Mark Craig (r21) (twice) and Kevin Sweeney (r7) made up the winning team.
The win has moved Consti up a place to eighth in the table and leaves Gosberton firmly rooted to the bottom.
Pyramid F took on clubmates Pyramid D in the Norey Cup, with the F team coming out emphatic winners.
They took the match 4-0 thanks to Spencer Dawkins, Jason Green and Reegan Cooke-Holmes. Dawkins claimed breaks of 30, 24 21 and 20 (x2).
In the Knock-out Cup there were a few surprises.
Division Two team Gosberton A took on Division One team Pyramid C, and walked away 3-0 winners.
Adam Twigg (o14), Jamie Mumby (o21) and Carl Wand (scr) took the first three frames respectively to secure the win.
Division Three side Consti D took Division One team Pyramid A to a decider.
Victor Rouse (r7) won the first frame for Pyramid, before Geoff Ellingworth (r21) hit back for Consti, winning on the black.
Michael Twell (scr) put Pyramid ahead again, before Tom Digby (r7) levelled the scores.
Dean Cole (o14) then beat John Cooper (r21) 80-44 in the deciding frame to put Pyramid through to the next round.
Gosberton C made up for their league loss by beating Consti J 3-2 in the Knock-Out Cup.
Rob Lockett (r28), Mark Payne (o14) and Stuart Tamplin (r7) got the wins.
Gosberton B, who are near the bottom of Division Three, beat top team Gosberton D 3-2.
