Services A depose leaders to claim top spot in style

There’s a new team at the top of Division One of the Spalding and District Snooker League.

Services A have taken top spot after beating last week’s joint leaders Consti E 5-1, who drop to fourth.
Consti started well with a win from James Kingston (O21), before Services hit back thanks to Mike Knight (O21), Jake Haslam (O21), Vince Fitter (O35) and Chris Dunmore (O35).
Breaks in the match came from Fitter (25), Knight (24), Haslam (24) and Dunmore (20).
Clubmates Services C, who were joint top, dropped to third after losing 4-2 to Consti G, who move up into second.
Consti’s winners were Martin Deacon (O14), Ady Sibley (O35) and Mark Wilkinson (O14), while Jordan Philpott (R7) and Kevin Fitter (O14) got the points for Services.
Holbeach D remain in fifth place after beating Bourne SC B 4-2.
Bourne SC A beat Holbeach E 4-2.
Mark Gray (O98) got Bourne off to a good start with a 118-61 victory over Chris Back (O63). Gray knocked in breaks of 37, 35 and a 22 clearance during the frame.
Ian Gibson (scr) then beat Stuart Sullivan (O35) to put Bourne 2-0 up.
Ben Harding (O35) got Holbeach off the mark with a win over Carl Gibson (O28), before Pete Ransome (O28) put Holbeach on equal footing, beating Pete Hodgson Kerry (O35).
The decider between Ian Clare (scr) and Phil Coaten (O14), saw Clare take the spoils, beating Coaten 68-38.
Boundary are still floundering near the bottom of the table, having suffered a 4-2 loss at home to Consti H.
Boundary took the first two frames, courtesy of Pete King (R7) and Daniel Smith (O7), before Consti won the next three and the match.
Their winners were Mark German (O35), Adam Mayman (O21) and Olly Turner (O14).
It was mid-table clash when Pyramid C took on Donington C, with Donington emerging the victors.
Mat Turner (O14), Neil Favell (O7) and Shaun Pickering (R21) got the points for Donington.
In Division Two, it’s a Bourne one-two with Pyramid A at the top of the table and the D team in second.
Pyramid A had a 4-2 win over Gosberton D to hang on to first place.
Winners were Victor Rouse (R7), John Twell (O7) and Dean Cole (O14) for Pyramid and Neil Simmons (scr) and Daniel Hanger (R7) for Gosberton.
Pyramid D moved into second spot thanks to a 5-1 win at Holbeach A, who drop from second to fifth.
Josh Agger (O14), Pete Sharpe-Grose (scr), James Sharpe (O49) and Marcus Hamilton (O28) were the winners for Pyramid, while Wayne Dent (O49) picked up the point for Holbeach.
Holbeach B jumped from fifth to third with a 5-1 win over Donington A.
Father and son Pete (O28) and Charlie Mullane (R21), Adi Liquorish (R14) and Barry Haynes (O7) were the winners for Holbeach.
Kev Hawes (O7) snatched the last frame to give Donington a point.
Consti B remain in fourth thanks to a 4-2 win over bottom-of-the-table Donington B.
John Christian (R7), Martin Fear (O7) and John Keeton (O7) got the wins for Consti.
In a mid-table clash Whittlesey C got the better of Consti F 4-2.
Services D took on friendly foe Services B, with the B team coming out on top 4-2.
Victories from Jason Rose (O28), Andy Neal (R7) and Fred Cummins (R7) gave them the win.
Gosberton A jumped above Pyramid B thanks to a 4-2 win in their match.
Holbeach F extended their lead at the top of Division Three to 14 points, thanks to a 4-2 win over Consti D.
Holbeach won the first three frames thanks to husband and wife team David (R21) and Susan Lefley (R21) and Dan Mayfield (O28).
Consti’s Steve Moore (R14) and John Cooper (R21) took the final two frames from James Quinton (O7) and Alex Bourne (O28) respectively.
Consti I are sitting in second place with a game in hand, despite losing 4-2 to Gosberton B, who are second from bottom.
Merv Pattinson (R21), Simon Slinger (R7) and Stuart Ruskin (R7) were the winners for Gosberton, while John Bellerby (scr) and David Twelves (O7) got the points for Consti.
Pyramid E have jumped one place to fourth after beating Consti C 4-2 away.
Stephen Thompson (R14), Steve Doughty (R21) and Jeremy Radford (R7) gave them the win.
Gosberton C moved from seventh to fifth, thanks to a 4-2 win over Consti A, while Donington D have leaped two places after beating Whittlesey B 5-1.
Victories from Paul Whyte (R14), Michella George (R28), Pat Taylor (R14) and Alan Stanley (R14) gave Donington the points.
Michael Foster (O14) beat Dan Sawdy 56-55 to take the final frame and a point for Whittlesey.
