Holbeach United extended their impressive unbeaten run with a routine home victory over Northampton ON Chenecks on Saturday, while Spalding United were handed a home reverse by table-topping Leek Town.
The most excitement came at Carter’s Park, where defender Jon Fairweather netted twice in Holbeach’s 4-1 Uhlsport UCL Premier Division victory.
Joe Smith and Liam Adams also netted for the Tigers, who extended their unbeaten run to 13 games and are now just three points off leaders Shepshed Dynamo in fourth.
They are back in action on Wednesday as they host Boston Town (7.45pm).
In the same division, Pinchbeck United’s game at Desborough Town was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Spalding, meanwhile, were beaten 2-0 by BetVictor NPL South East Division leaders Leek at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field.
Olly Harrison and the prolific Tim Grice grabbed the goals, leaving the Tulips in back in tenth place.
Elsewhere, Moulton Harrox produced perhaps their best performance of the season by battering ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division title rivals Uppingham Town 5-1.
Long Sutton Athletic also beat Ketton 1-0 in the PDFL’s top tier.
