Public invited to lay flowers in Spalding as tribute to terror attacks victims

Flowers can be laid in The Peace Garden at Spalding’s Ayscoughfee Gardens from Saturday (June 10) in tribute to those who lost their lives in the recent terror attacks in Manchester and London.

The memorial was the personal idea of Rachel Thompson, who works in Ayscoughfee Hall Museum.

She said: “I think this sort of incident affects everyone. You just feel so helpless.
“This doesn’t alter that situation but it does give a place where people can go and reflect.

“We might not know anyone involved but at the end of the day it’s our country.”

Any flowers left will be removed after a week or so, depending on their condition.
