LETTER: Streetlights turned off is appalling

As I am a resident in Spring Street, I am appalled by the lack of street lighting after 11.30pm (approx).

In the council’s infinite wisdom is the authority penny-pinching as per usual? Have they not thought of the implications that, because of this, it may well cause the event of an injury. Or, by the same argument, how long will it be before someone is physically attacked?

There is also the fact that the road and pavements concerned are badly in need of repair (don’t do it badly next time please).

Please council, let your think tank start using its grey matter. Look up the word priority and the word importance and operate your thoughts in a correct order!
