Prestigious award for manager Carol

A Spalding care employee from the Orders of St John Care Trust has landed a prestigious award.
Carol Hillier, home manager at Southfield House in Spalding, received the accolade from the British branch of the world’s oldest chivalry – the Sovereign Order of Malta.
She was awarded a silver medal of merit for her excellent leadership qualities and her drive and ambition to provide the best possible quality outcomes.
Due to her skill and dedication, Carol has successfully progressed from administrator to home manager with a continuously high-performing home that has exceeded every target set.
The award recognised her dedication to helping her team achieve positive outcomes for the Woolram Wygate home.
It highlighted how Carol empowers her senior team to take ownership of development within the home, encouraging their participation with the on-going internal and external compliance with regulations.
According to colleagues, Carol works with the highest level of integrity and was a very worthy of such a prestigious award.
She was one of three county-wide recipients at a ceremony in London.
It was attended by hundreds of people, including knights and dames of the Order, the Venerable Order of St John and ambassadors from across the world.
Kevin Hall, operations director at the Orders of St John Care Trust, commented: “Each year, the Sovereign Order of Malta recognises some of our county’s finest care employees – and this year was no different.
“Carol is one of the hardest-working employees within the Trust and we couldn’t be prouder having her as part of our team.”
The Order of Malta is one of the sponsoring Orders of the St John Care Trust and it provides eight of the organisation’s trustees.
The Order’s mission is to help those in need and the St John Care Trust’s provision of care for older people form part of that mission.
