Pre-season round-up: Leckie off the mark as Holbeach United hold Peterborough Sports, Pinchbeck win

Lewis Leckie notched his first goal for Holbeach United on Tuesday night as they kicked off their pre-season games with a 1-1 draw with Peterborough Sports.

Ex-Spalding United midfielder Lewis Webb put promoted ChromaSport UCL Premier Division champions Sports 1-0 up at Carter’s Park, but Leckie levelled from the penalty spot after fellow new signing Will Bird was fouled.

The Tigers visit Skegness Town for their next friendly on Saturday (3pm).

Elsewhere on Tuesday, Pinchbeck United crushed Peterborough Sports Reserves 5-1 at Knight Street.

Their goals came from Andrew Tidswell, Corey Kingston, Ollie Maltby, Conner Eyes and Josh Smith.

Moulton Harrox lost 4-2 at home to Wisbech St Mary despite goals from Jake Cawthorne and Dan Woods.

Long Sutton Athletic enjoyed a fine 3-1 win over Peterborough ICA Sports on Saturday, while their Reserves went down 4-0 at Spalding Town .

Pinchbeck United also bagged a 6-1 friendly success over Netherton United last Wednesday night.

Tonight sees Spalding United visit Winterton Rangers (7.45pm).
