New uniform hits right note

Holbeach Town Band have been kitted out in a smart new uniform.
They unveiled their new waistcoat and tie in the band’s traditional purple colour at a concert in Ayscoughfee Gardens.
A new logo on their waistcoats, ties and music stand banners – with band hats to follow – was also featured at the event which was part of the Music in the Garden series of concerts.
The band played a varied programme of music.
This included a selection of James Bond themes, tunes from the Grease musical, plus soul and patriotic music.
The new uniforms have been paid for through funding from the Grange Farm Wind Project and backing from district councillors, for which the band is extremely grateful.
The band has also received a grant from Chosen Charity in Holbeach which will be used to buy some more student instruments for their Learn to Play Week from August 1-5.
