I have been a supporter of Ann Gregory and her husband Mac, who have tirelessly worked for the last few years to raise about £23,000 for this charity by organising a “yard sale”.
I was shocked and disappointed to learn that SHDC have stopped their admirable devotion to this cause, deciding that they are running a business from their home in Holbeach.
Anne has kept records and I believe that everything they have raised from their work has been given to Jerry Green Rescue. They are honourable people who are really genuine.
Whoever is responsible for this cruel decision should be ashamed of themselves. Who else will be prepared to help this charity as Anne and Mac have done in spite of the problems of day to day life which we are all subjected?
Please SHDC, be charitable yourselves and allow their dedicated work to continue.
