Apart from the fact we just had painfully long road works for little benefit on the A16/A151 roundabout, now someone wants to alter things already. Such joined up thinking!
Current entrance proposals for the new site would be a nightmare – it’s difficult enough getting out of McDonald’s due to the poor planning by the developers and poor governance by officials.
The Applegreen site would be far better but if that’s where something has to go then copying the Glinton roundabout arrangement (McDonald’s and fuel) would be the logical way forward – entrance only from A16 south of site, exit only from A151 west towards Spalding.
That’s what should have happened to McDonald’s here, but logical doesn’t suit our planners often.
