Boy (9) seriously injured after reportedly being hit by car

A nine year old boy has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after reports he was hit by a car.

Lincolnshire Police say the incident is reported to have involved a Mercedes A180 and took place on Hannam Boulevard this morning.

“The boy has been taken to hospital with injuries described as serious,” a Lincolnshire Police spokesman said. “Our investigation is ongoing and we are appealing for witnesses to the collision to get in touch. 
“Anyone who saw the collision or has relevant recorded footage  is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 80 of 11 March. 

“The road was closed and reopened around 11.40am.”
