Appeal for man wanted for thefts and supermarket assault

Lincolnshire Police have issued an appeal for a man wanted for an assault at a Spalding supermarket and theft offences.

Darren Matthews, aged 54, who is wanted on arrest for an offence of assault at the Aldi store on St Thomas Road in Spalding, three theft from shop offences and also for failing to comply with his community order.

A police spokesman said: “Matthews is thought to be in the Spalding area but despite our inquiries we have so far been unable to locate him.

“Anyone who has any information is asked to call 101 or email the local Neighbourhood Sergeant, at [email protected]”
