Let hair down with new group

Let down your hair at a panto being staged by a new Holbeach-based group.

Phoenix Theatrix was formed last May and describes itself as ‘an inclusive amateur theatre group based in Holbeach with a mission to bring together individuals of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities who share a love of theatre’.
Its first pantomime, Rapunzel, is being performed at Sutton St Edmund Village Hall and continues this weekend.
Written locally by Kei Bailey, the script has been described as hilarious, and the pantomime promises to be a unique and entertaining experience.
It’s already had rave reviews for the first few performances and is back this Saturday (April 5) at 7pm and on Sunday (April 6) at 2pm.
Tickets can be purchased on the door or from ticketsource.co.uk/Phoenix-Theatrix
A spokesman for Phoenix Theatrix said: “Don’t miss your chance to experience this fun-filled pantomime.
“Whether on or off stage, members are encouraged to grow their confidence, develop a sense of achievement, and feel a strong sense of belonging in a fun and friendly environment.
“The group has a diverse mix of experience, from members who have received awards or worked as extras in television and film to those who have never performed before.
“This blend of experience and enthusiasm is what makes Phoenix Theatrix special – when they come together, they are all equals.”
The group is also looking for new members and meet every Sunday evening at the Holbeach Hub from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
“We are always looking for new members,” said the group’s Bianca Ashton. “Feel free to send us a message on our Facebook page for more information or simply come along.”
