Home player Gary Allen took top spot with a super round as Tydd St Giles Golf Club held their 2016 Captain’s Day open competition.
Neil John’s event attracted 120 players from all over the region to contest the individual Stableford competition – and also raised £1,600 for charity.
All of the money raised goes to John’s chosen charity for 2016, the neurological care unit at Addenbrooke’s hospital.
Allen topped the leaderboard with 42 points, with the runner-up being Mark Freear with 40 points.
Simon Black, who also scored 40 points, was pushed back to third on countback.
The ladies’ winner was Nicola Stead (35 points) ahead of Lorraine Gallie (33 points), while the away winner was Greetham Valley’s Steve Hart with 29 points.
Nearest the pin (fourth hole) was Tydd’s Lewis Goult, while nearest to the pin (eighth hole) Jamie Brighty, also of the home club.
That trend continued on the tenth and 11th holes, with Ian Edrupt (Tydd) nearest on both. The 16th hole saw Dick Martin – another Tydd player – go nearest, while Kevin Goude was closest in two on the 18th hole.
