‘Excellent’ John and Steve win new event

John Camm and Steve Leggett emerged victorious at the new Tuesday Extra competition in Spalding Golf Club’s seniors’ section.

 
Played in the form of a fourball betterball bogey pairs competition, some 21 took part. The winning pair, with an excellent score of +10, were seniors’ captain Camm and his team-mate Leggett.

 
Second place went to Lester Pybus and Howard Greaves (+9), on count-back from Ged Cox and Barrie Hutson (+9) in third.
