Ford fires hat-trick as Holbeach United hammer Huntingdon to go fourth

Holbeach United moved up to fourth in the ChromaSport UCL Premier Division table with a 5-1 win at basement boys Huntingdon Town on Thursday night.

A hat-trick from Josh Ford inspired the Tigers, who were playing their third game in six days.

Ford notched twice in the first period to give Tom Roberts’ side a 2-0 half-time lead, before Jack Smith made it three early in the second period at Jubilee Park.

Top scorer Ford then completed his treble, with player/assistant boss Andrew Tidswell rounding off the rout after the hosts had pulled one back.
