Events throughout summer in Pinchbeck

A host of free events including outing outdoor cinema screenings and the Rock School Bus are set to be held in Pinchbeck during the summer holidays.

It follows a bid by councillors in the town to have more activities in the village available, particularly for young people.
Pinchbeck Community Hub and Library will be hosting activities on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from July 30 to August 29.
Among the events whole family put on there including a weekly open air cinema, arts and crafts, storytelling, coffee morning, play equipment and competitions.
There’s also a Helping Hands four-week course to learn sign language for toddlers, cookery session skills for young people, dance and fitness classes and Spalding Gentlemen’s Club is putting living history exhibitions.
The Rock School Bus will be at the community hub every Wednesday and there will be Tiny Tots soft play equipment sessions on Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday mornings.
Three district councillors James Avery, Sally Slade and Elizabeth Sneath and the parish council have put money into the scheme.
There’s also been a £500 pledge from the Spar in the village to provide free refreshments.
Coun Sneath said: “We’re starting a new and exciting chapter in the life of these much-loved village buildings.
“It is the old school which I attended as a child and many others did too.”
Coun John Smith, of Pinchbeck Parish Council, said: “The events will be aimed at providing family focused activities and somewhere to go to play, meet others and have fun.
“All the events will be free of charge and hopefully we can also provide a free light lunch to people who attend.”
Free tickets are available from the community hub and library from Saturday (July 6).
