Crowland’s grand reception for Santa

Over £1,000 has been raised for charity after Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue took Santa on a tour of Crowland.

Crew members from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue were joined by their family and friends and Fireman Sam as Father Christmas took time out from preparing for December 25 to visit the town last week.

Generous residents stood up to the plate and donated a fantastic £1,119.94 for the Fire Fighters charity.

Stuart Annible, watch manager with Crowland Fire Station, said: “Thanks to the Crowland community for coming along to say hello, and for your kind donations.

“An amazing £1119.94 was raised for the Fire Fighters Charity, of which a number of personnel from Crowland Fire Station have used their services over the past couple of years.

“We would also like to say a big thank you to Spalding Fire Station for liaising with Santa for use of his sleigh, and their assistance on the nights!”
