Air Cadets land at fire station

Holbeach Air Cadets dropped in to see a local fire crew last week for a behind the scenes tour.

On Friday, 15 December 14 cadets from the 2430 (Holbeach) Squadron of the RAF Air Cadets visited Holbeach Fire Station.

The cadets were given an outline of how Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue service operates and instruction of what actions to take in a fire situation by watch manager John Kinder.

The guided tour of the station was carried out by crew manager Simon Smith and firefighter Cameron Sleight who showed cadets how a breathing apparatus set functioned.

Holbeach Air Cadets are aged between 12 to 18 and meet on a Wednesday and Friday evening between 7pm and 9-30pm at their headquarters in Church Street, Holbeach.
