Moulton Harrox’s fine start to the defence of their ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division title continued on Saturday with a superb 2-1 win at previously unbeaten Ketton.
First-half goals from skipper Billy King and frontman Martin Sandall got the job done for Harrox at Pit Lane, despite a second-half strike from Josh Russell.
That made it three wins and two draws for Moulton, who are now under the charge of Nigel Steadman and Paul Crowson.
Tipped by some to struggle after the departure of title-winning chief Dave Panton, Harrox are making a mockery of their doubters and look set to be one of the chief challengers for the PDFL’s top prize come the end of the season.
Harrox host Holbeach United Reserves on Tuesday night and have no game on Saturday.
