Big win for Tydd St Giles Golf Club foursome at Ged Taylor Memorial event

The team of Michael Barton, Barrie Mutimer, Ian Millett and Michael McCreery were victorious at Tydd St Giles Golf Club’s Ged Taylor Memorial event.

The quartet scored a total of 123 points in the 4 ball Stableford competition, which put them well clear of the chasing pack.

The battle for second place was much closer, with countback needed to separate two teams.

In the end it was Mick Vassall, David Abram, Russell Doy and Ian Stirling who edged out Michael Flint, Steve Skoulding and Lee Smith after both teams managed 118 points.

Ken Doughty, John Forbes, Tony Adkins and Adrian Wallace (117 points) were fourth.
