Gosberton race ace Abbi Pulling is on the brink of championship glory as she heads to Qatar this weekend.

She sits 95 points clear at the top of the F1 Academy standings with just two rounds to go.
An incredible run of seven wins, seven pole positions, four clean sweeps and a further three podium finishes have set her apart on top of the drivers’ table, a position she has held since the first round.
All Pulling needs to be crowned champion is 18 points from the remaining four races but she told the F1 Academy she was not taking anything for granted.
“I’m in a great position and have one hand on the trophy. I’m not getting ahead of myself. Of course, I know that it’s all tough and I’ve kept myself grounded.
“I just want to get into the weekend as soon as possible. I want to win the drivers’ title and we’re in a good position to do that. I’m still going to be trying for race wins no matter what because I want to give the team the best possible chance of taking both titles.”
Pulling has been responsible for 87 per cent of the Rodin Motorsport team’s points and said: “I just need to keep doing what I’m doing but also continue to carry on helping my teammates in the simulator, as well as trackside.”
The stakes could not be higher for Pulling, with the 2024 champion earning a step up the single-seat race ladder in the GB3 Championship next year with Rodin.
“To be crowned champion would just be incredible,” said Pulling. “All the years of hard work are paying off and all the opportunities are being made worthwhile.
“I’ve gone into too many Christmases not knowing what I’m doing the next season so I’m as hungry as ever to make sure I secure the top step and make my winter a little less stressful.”
