A grand total is raised for Prostate Cancer at Gedney Hill Golf club event

A total of £1,240 was raised for Prostate Cancer at Gedney Hill Golf Club’s Joint Captains’ Day.

Results: Joint Captain’s Day: Men’s Competition – 1st Steve Steels 43pts; 2nd Steve Carter 42pts; 3rd Pete Vinter 41pts. Ladies’ Competition – 1st Roz Upton 38pts; 2nd Jayne Cowles 35pts; 3rd Theresa Starbuck 33pts (ocb).

  • Some 50 members took part in a Fun Texas Scramble on Sunday to say farewell to Head Greenkeeper Chris Davies.

He leaves Gedney Hill at the end of August to take up a seasonal greenkeeping job in New Zealand at Cape Kidnappers Golf Course.

The winning team was Adrian Bishop, James Smith and Pete Vinter.
