LETTER: I know which way I will vote

I have received literature from all candidates standing for election in Long Sutton but would like some clarification.

The newsletters I have received from the Conservative candidates have clearly stated what they have done for and in our area since being elected and what they will continue to do if they are re-elected.

The newsletter from the independent however tells me that we should vote for him because he’s a ‘born and bred Long Sutton man’ and because he has recently had a street named after his dad which doesn’t tell me what he has actually done for me as a resident.

His newsletter also says that he will “continue being a loud strong voice” which is strange as the only whisper of a voice that I’ve heard from him has been in a solitary newsletter over the last four years at election time.

I would have contacted him to ask these questions directly but unfortunately he didn’t provide contact details in the literature so it seems he doesn’t even want to speak to voters!

I know which way I will be voting and that’s for the people that work hard to try and make our town a better place to live all year round.
