A football club that puts on education courses netted a host of top grades on A-Level results day.
Holbeach United’s Football Education and Academy centre runs BTEC Level Three National Extended Diploma courses.
It’s most popular one is in sports coaching and development of which 21 received distinction, merit and passes, including 15 with full distinction across the board.
Dan Lester, director and head of education at Holbeach United, said: “We are extremely proud of the Class of 2026.
“While football and sport are a huge part of what we do, we have always wanted Holbeach United FEA to be recognised for the quality of its education and the opportunities we create beyond the pitch.
“These results are a reflection of the work of our learners and the commitment of our education and support staff.
“Alongside our Level Three success, we have also received another batch of certificates for learners who have successfully achieved Level Twp Functional Skills qualifications in maths and English, with further certificates still to arrive.
“These qualifications are GCSE-equivalent and, for the learners involved, represent another important step towards employment, higher education and their future careers.”
