A new hub for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities is being proposed to launch at a Donington school.
The Cowley Endowed Primary School is one of five mainstream schools Lincolnshire County Council is proposing to create a new specialist hub at.
A consultation has been launched into the proposal which aims to offer enhanced facilities and specially trained staff overseeing smaller class sizes.
Coun Natalie Oliver, executive member for children’s services said the Reform led administration’s ambition was ‘to develop hubs in as many schools and academies as possible.
“We know that many pupils with SEND will thrive in a mainstream school and leave with better outcomes, as long as they receive that extra support they need,” she said. “The new hubs will offer the best of both worlds, helping pupils realise their potential.”
