Captain’s innings is winner

An unbroken fifth-wicket stand of 118 between opener Paul Rushen (65no) and captain Ali Drohan (45no) propelled Long Sutton Mallards to a 25-run at Bircham in the Mid-Norfolk Sunday League’s Kevin Grimmer Division.

After losing two quick wickets, Drohan stopped the rot with a 40-run partnership alongside Ellis Redden (15) before his captain joined him at the crease to see Sutton reach 188/4.

Drohan then used eight bowlers to restrict the hosts to 153/7 from their 35 overs, with the captain impressing with a 2-4 haul to go with Steven Milnes’ 2-12.

In Division Four of the Rutland Sunday League, Moulton Harrox were emphatic winners at Peterborough Town. After bowling out the hosts for 137 they reached their target without loss.
