Gray strikes with six victims

Jacob Gray took 6-10 in less than five overs as Long Sutton romped to a five-wicket win to keep alive their hopes of avoiding a second consecutive relegation.
The former Lincolnshire Board Premier League team stayed four points outside the drop zone in the South Lincs Border League Championship thanks to a five-wicket win against Grantham Seconds.
Captain Josh Baker took 3-31 as Sutton bowled out their hosts for 81 in the 22nd over. Tim Norris (33), opener Rajan Sangha (15) and captain Baker (15no) negotiated occasionally choppy waters to lead their team to a winning 82/5 inside 16 overs.
Sutton Seconds are also facing the shadow of relegation in Division One, where they sit 14 points clear with two games to play after a ten-wicket defeat at title-chasing Billingborough.
Opener James Baker (27) and Alastair Drohan (11) were the only visiting batsmen to reach double figures as they were bowled out for 79. Billingborough wasted no time in rattling off the required runs, reaching 80/0 in just 38 balls.
Long Sutton Mallards closed their Mid-Norfolk Sunday League by bowling out Kevin Grimmer Division champions North Runcton for 190.
Unfortunately, that was not enough to claim victory as the visitors responded by dismissing Mallards for 111.
Runcton’s top three batsmen amassed 148 but once they fell to Craig Milnes (5-26), Alastair Drohan (2-20) and Thilina Dilshan (1-44) respectively, the rest of the line-up collapsed, adding just 34 more, with six extras taking their total to a catchable 188.
However, Mallards were up against it after their first four batsmen managed only 14 runs between them. Drohan (18), Aaraz Keshwara (15) and Ethan English (28) added some middle-order bite but when they departed, any hopes their team had of ending the away side’s 100 per cent record ended.
Long Sutton Colts were bowled out just one six and seven balls away from matching their hosts Grimston’s 200/4 total.
Colts had high hopes of victory when they reduced the King’s Lynn team to 59/4 but that was as good as it got as they recovered to post 200/4.
Daniel Plant (23), Andrew Cotton (22), Ed Blundy-Gent (53) and captain Daniel Oldfield (21) ensured Sutton were always in the hunt but they ran out of wickets on 194.
