Changes to planned relief road related roadworks in Pinchbeck

Plans for closures of Enterprise Way and Spalding Road in Pinchbeck for the building of the most northerly junction of the Spalding Western Relief Road have changed.

Spalding Road was due to be closed in the evenings from next Monday (July 18) but that will now not take place until mid-October.

Work will begin when Enterprise Way has been reopened following work with its junction with Spalding Road, but the timescale for its completion has been extended.

The 24/7 road closure will go-ahead on Friday, July 29, but is now due to remain closed until mid-October a month longer than had previously been stated by Lincolnshire County Council.

A county council spokesman said the delays were due to unexpected delays over utilities.

Spalding Road will remain open for that time but temporary traffic lights put in place this week will now also remain in place for an extra month until works are completed.

  • The diversion route for the Enterprise Way closure will be via Enterprise Way / Benner Road / B1180 / Spalding Road, and vice versa
  • An alternative route will be via Enterprise Way / Benner Road / B1180 / A16 / A151 / West Elloe Avenue (A151) / Pinchbeck Road / Spalding Road, and vice versa.
