Spalding band Zebra are due to land a knockout set to raise money for a local sporting institution.
The group are performing at the newly reopened Lincolnshire Poacher on Saturday, November 19 in a bid to raise funds for the Spalding ABC Boxing Club.
The club is looking to raise awareness of the work it does in the area including its Glove Up, Knives Down campaign and raise money after their Stumps Lane base suffered weather damage recently.
Zebra have put on the gig to raise some funds for the club.
They’ll play two 40-minute sets starting from 9pm.
Mark Le Sage, the band’s keyboard player, said: “Groups such as this are vitally important in our local community, helping young people grow and develop into South Holland’s future.”
A spokesman for the club said: “We are so pleased that Zebra are supporting us on November 19 to raise money for the club and raise awareness off the movement Gloves Up, Knives Down and mental health.
“The club continues to support the local community having won last year’s Pride of South Holland Award for the Sports Club of the Year.
“We still need raffle prizes so if you or anyone you know can donate a raffle prize, please contact us through Spalding Amateur Boxing Club on Facebook.
“We look forward to you joining us and a massive thank you to those who have donated already.
“Who doesn’t love a bit of live music?
“Come along and support a local band, a local business and a local boxing club.”
