Woman who died in Holbeach St Johns road traffic collision named – man arrested

A Whaplode Drove woman has been named as the motorcyclist who died in a collision at Holbeach St Johns on Sunday.

Amy Cooper was riding the motorcycle when it collided with a grey BMW around 5pm on Sunday, November 13 at New River Gate.

Police have now arrested a man in relation to the incident following an appeal for him to come forward.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: ”We can share that the name of the 20 year-old-woman who sadly died in the collision is Amy Cooper from the Whaplode Drove area. 

“Her family have asked they are not contacted by any media and their privacy is respected.

“We have arrested a 28 year-old-man, from the Holbeach area, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.  He remains in custody.”
