Zebra goes wombling

A Spalding band have got back together for a reunion tour – of littering hotspots.

Zebra haven’t been able to play recently, but they did have a socially distanced meet-up at the weekend helping clear the area as part of the Wombles of Spalding Common initiative.

They managed to fill three bags along the Coronation Channel with rubbish including several bike parts, spirit bottles and discarded fishing line and floats.

Jonny Crunkhorn, the band’s deputy drummer, said: “It was great to be supporting the community that has supported the band for so many years.”
