Your chance to give tennis a try at Spalding on Sunday

Spalding Tennis Club are hosting the first of three British Tennis open days at their Holyrood Walk base this Sunday.

Anyone interested in giving the sport a go is welcome to attend the open day, which gets under way at 2pm.

There will be free coaching available, with rackets and balls provided.

Alternatively, all are welcome to have a go with the club’s serving speed machine, or simply just have a look at the brand new acrylic courts – which are the same surface as those used at both US Open and Australian Open.

  • Danny Dorey-Rodriguez and Mike Pearl emerged as the winners at Spalding Tennis Club’s Chairman’s Cup event on Sunday.

An impressive 20 players took part in the event, with Steve Knight and Robert Taylor the runners-up.
