Work on grot spots for parade

Ahead of this weekend’s Spalding Flower Parade, parts of the town have been brightened up by members of the community.

Grot spots including outside the former Calthrop’s Solicitors in Market Place.
Flower parade organiser Steve Timewell organised for local street artist Karl Barfoot to provide artwork on the graffiti tagged boards on the closed shop.
“Thanks to Karl for helping make our town a little more attractive for parade day,” said Steve. “It’s an incredible artwork.”
The Spalding Knitting Fairies have also been hard at work to put over dilapidated areas such as The White Horse.
Planters at the Castle Sports Complex have been repainted by LLB Painting.
“It really shows the community spirit in action,” Steve said.
