Lions help youngsters at fair

As is tradition, Spalding Lions ensured Tuby’s annual fun fair was opened in style last Thursday.

The group organises it so that the first on the rides are youngsters with more complex needs.
Around 130 pupils from the Tulip Academy, Springwell and users at the Chappell Centre took part in the opening.
They were joined by South Holland District Council chair Andrew Woolf and his wife Wendy.
A spokesman for Spalding Lions, said: Thanks to the generosity of Roger and Sophie Tuby and their team, those attending enjoyed free rides and fun in the sunshine.
“We even managed to get some of our Lions on the rides.”
