Whittlesey C keep up great unbeaten run

With just one week to play before the Christmas break, Whittlesey C have kept up their unbeaten run in the Spalding and District Snooker League.

The team are currently leading Division Three with 12 wins from 12 matches.

They beat Donington B 4-2 at home on Thursday to keep their run going.

Winners were Paul Cook (O7), Neil Burton (O14) and Gary Thewliss (R7).

Sean Pickering (R7) and Mick Clark (R14) got the wins for Donington.

Second-placed Gosberton D had a free week, while Donington B held on to third, despite their loss.

Pyramid E moved up to fourth thanks to a 5-1 win away at Gosberton B.

Gosberton got off to a good start with Nigel Goodwin (R21) winning the opening frame, but the next four went Pyramid’s way with victories for Stephen Thompson (R7), Adrian Sharpe (O14), Jeremy Radford (scr) and John Clapton (scr).

Whittlesey B moved off the bottom of the table following a 5-1 home win over Consti J.

Michael Foster (O21), Andy Skutela (R14), Kerry Skutela (R28) and Pawel Skutela (R7) got the wins.

Stewart Davies (O7) got the consolation frame for Consti.

Donington D have dropped down after losing 5-1 to Whittlesey A, while Consti D got their third win of the season, beating Gosberton C 4-2.

In Division One, Bourne SC A are holding on to first place with a 4-2 victory over Donington C.

Max Ayliff (O14), Ian Clare (scr) and Pete Hodgson-Kerry (O28) were the winners.

Mick Pearl (O21) and Ben Wrigglesworth (O21) both won for Donington, each bagging a 21 break in their frames.

Bourne SC B are up to third after beating Sutton Bridge 4-2.

Bridge got off to a good start with Carl Parnell (O28) beating Kieran Richards-Witham (O21) and Mick Tiller (scr) getting the better of Pete Smith (O7) but Bourne won the next three thanks to Elliot Gaunt (O28), Jay Scampion (R7) and Mark Stoker (O7).

Holbeach C saw off Pyramid A, winning 4-2.

Nick Edwards (scr) beat Dean Cole (O14) in the deciding frame.

Boundary A moved up to fourth following a 5-1 home win over Bourne SC C.

It’s as you were at the top of Division Two, with Consti G, Services D and Holbeach F retaining the top three places.

Consti G had an away win at Pyramid B, beating them 4-2, thanks to victories from Ady Sibley (O28), Joe Garland (scr) and Darren Woodberry (O42).

Services D and Holbeach F both lost 4-2 at home.

Services went down to Holbeach B, while Holbeach F lost to Consti F.

Consti I remain at the foot of the table, having lost 4-2 to Donington A.

Nigel Brasier (O14), Kevin Hawes (O14) and Tony Scully (O35) were the winners for Donington.
Services E fell three places to ninth after losing 4-2 at home to Consti H.

Winners for Consti were Doug Garfoot (O28), Adam Mayman (O14) and Jon Houldershaw (R7).

Alan Day (R14) and Ian Smith (scr) got the points for Services.

Consti B moved up two places after a 4-2 home victory over Holbeach E.

A 31 break from Chris Back (O49) couldn’t help him to a win over John Christian (R7)
