Whitewash win sees Gosberton stay top

Gosberton D have held on to the top spot in Division Three of the Spalding and District Snooker League following a fantastic 6-0 win.

The team, who have won nine of the ten matches played, saw off Donington D.
Dan Hanger (R7), James Parott (R7), Brad Brinkman (O14), Deacon Hempsall (R7) and Paulo Gensiorskyj (scr) chalked up the wins.
Keeping up their perfect record, Whittlesey C still sit in second place after a 5-1 victory over Consti A.
Winners for Whittlesey were Paul Cook (O7), Neil Burton (O14), Simon Parker (O7) and Jason Bloomfield (O7).
Chris Hull (R21) beat Gary Thewliss (R7) to claim Constl’s only win of the night.
Donington B have jumped two places to third thanks to a 5-1 home win over Gosberton B.
Gosberton got off to a win courtesy of Nigel Goodwin (R21) but it was to be their only win of the night with the following four frames going Donington’s way.
A 4-2 win away at Gosberton C saw Whittlesey A leap four places to sixth in the division.
Andy Blythe (O14), Jason Clarke (scr) and Steve Jennings (O28) won for Whittlesey.
Consti D remain at the foot of the table having lost 4-2 to clubmates Consti J.
Winners for the J team were Trevor Braybrook (R7), Les Andrew (R7) and Stewart Davies (O7) who took the deciding frame from Martin Perkins (O21).
Consti G remain at the summit of Division Two thanks to a 4-2 home win over Services B.
Breaks of 47, 23 and a 27 clearance helped Mark Woodberry (O49) to a win over Jeff Collins (R7).
Other winners on the night were Martin Deacon (O7) and Joe Garland (scr) for Consti, while Jason Rose (O28) and Paul Doades (scr) got the frames for Services.
Holbeach F are in second but only due to the fact that they have lost one more frame than Consti.
They beat friendly foes Holbeach B 4-2.
Victors on the night were Susan Lefley (R21), James Quinton (O7) and Alex Bourne (O21).
Father and son Charlie (R14) and Pete Mullane (O21) were the winners for the B team.
Services D hold on to third place but they are five points adrift of second after losing 5-1 at home to Donington A.
A derby between Consti F and Consti I saw the F team come out on top 4-2.
The win moves them up to fifth place from ninth last week.
Justyn Stanley (scr) beat Richard Geddes (R14) on the black to take the deciding frame.
Gosberton A boosted themselves three places thanks to a 4-2 win over Services E.
Services started well with wins for Phil Spencer (O7) and Paul Spicer (scr) before Gosberton took over and saw victories from Andy Adair (scr), Adam Twigg (O14) and Alan Jackson (O7).
Consti B got the better of clubmates Consti H, winning 4-1, meaning they maintain fourth place.
In Division One, a top of the table clash saw Bourne SC A come out on top with a 5-1 win over Consti E.
The result sees Bourne retain first place but has dropped Consti down to third.
Wins from Carl Gibson (O14), Max Ayliff (O14), Mike Byrne (R7) and Ian Clare (scr) saw Bourne to victory.
Their only loser was Oliver Player (O35) who went down to Simon Law (O7).
Services C capitalised on Consti’s loss thanks to a 4-2 home win over Boundary A which moves them into second place.
Winners for Services were Nigel Cherry (O7), who beat Pete King (R14), Shane Cummins (O21), who got the better of Andy Mawforth (O7) and Kev Fitter (O21), who won the decider over Dan Smith (O7).
Getting the points for Boundary were John Tidswell (O21) and Elliot Cox (R14).
Bourne SC B held on to fourth position, despite a 4-2 loss away at Pyramid C.
Holbeach C got the better of clubmates Holbeach D, winning 5-1.
Wins from Dan Ashton (O7) on a respotted black, Paul Ashton (R14), Terry West (R14) and Mark Gregory (O35) saw the C team to victory.
Ian Woodberry (scr) was the lone winner for the D team, getting the better of Nick Edwards (scr).
Pyramid D are still propping up the table having only chalked up two match wins so far this season.
They lost 4-2 to Bourne SC C on Thursday night.
Winners for Bourne were Sean Jeynes (O14), James Kingston (O28), who got a 22 clearance, and Adam Braybrook (O7)
James Sharpe (O42) and Peter Sharpe-Grose (scr) got the wins for Pyramid.
