It’s not clear if a festival that’s raised tens of thousands of pounds for charity in the last few years will run again in 2025.
Since 2013 The Spalding Festival has been held at the Castle Sports Centre attracting thousands of people for its three days of live music, craft beer and food.
Last year Liberty X and The Hooziers were among those headlining the event usually held around the late May bank holiday raising over £50,000 for local charities.
It’s been organised by the Spalding Round Table alongside the Spalding Ladies Circle.
But the festival’s original organiser, Mark Le Sage, contacted local media this week to say he’d been told the event would not happen this year.
However, the Spalding Round Table has said nothing is confirmed as yet.
“Nothing has been set from our point of view,” said Matt Clark. “We have looked at alternate sites for this year and the district council have been great with us as we won’t be able to have it at the Castle Sports Complex.
“I’ve been in the Round Table for 20 years and we’ve had a community event to raise funds every single year so I’m sure we’ll organise something.”
Mr Clark was unaware that the Spalding Festival website was currently unavailable.
