Four players from Tydd St Giles Golf club completed the daunting Longest Day challenge – and managed to raise a grand sum for charity in the process.
The team of Matthew Clarke, Darren Hilton, Nathan Massino and team captain Ian Edrupt completed four rounds (72 holes) in 24 hours.
After a very early start, the event was completed with four very weary players all suffering with sore feet.
But skipper Edrupt admitted that it was “all worth it” as he revealed that their efforts raised close to £1,200 for Cancer Research UK.
