Two people die on our roads

Two people have lost their lives on roads in South Holland over the last few days.

A man, believed to be from Spalding, died and three children were injured in a collision on the A16 in Crowland on Sunday afternoon.
The crash involved a fire engine which was heading to an emergency.
The five-vehicle incident was reported at 12.40pm and the road was closed for some time.
The vehicles involved were a Peugeot 308, a silver Kia Sportage, black Mercedes, a grey VW Transporter and a Scania fire enine.
The Peugeot, Sportage, Mercedes and fire engine were all travelling southbound towards Peterborough. The car transporter was travelling north towards Spalding.
Police are appealing for information and dashcam footage recorded by vehicles in the area prior to the collision and include any of the vehicles involved.

There was also a fatal accident on Monday on the A16 at Kirton where a woman died and five people were injured after the collision between two cars at 6.50am.
The vehicles involved were a blue VW Sirocco travelling towards Boston and a blue Vauxhall Zafira heading towards Spalding.
Officers are again asking for information using the same phone number or email address as above, and quote incident 58 of March 4.
