Tulip treat for town women

Members of the Lithuanian community in Spalding teamed up with the Ella’s Project charity to hand out flowers on International Women’s Day last week.

It’s a tradition in Lithuania to hand out flowers to women, so the community’s Vaida Janina Trabsaite alongside friends and Mark Le Sage, of the charity, was out and about in Spalding Market Place.

Mark said: “Handing out the flowers went really well so we’re hoping to do it again next year.”
