Triples finalists decided

This week saw the first qualifiers confirmed for the Crowsons Volkswagen Pinchbeck and District Winter Darts League finals night as the triples competitions took place at Spalding Services Club.
The Royal Mail Cart trio of Chris Fidler, Jack Chilvers and Ben Connell were the first to book their place in the Division A final, claiming victories over Services Club B and Consti Club C.
Joining them are Sam Roberts, Paul Blow and Karl Rolfe, of Lincoln Arms A, who progressed after defeating Lincoln Arms D and two sides from the Black Bull.
In Division B, the final will be contested between Lincoln Arms C and Consti Club Z.
The Lincoln Arms C threesome of Tony Brown, Trev Wright and Steve Doades advanced with wins over Green Dragon Z and Services Club A.
Meanwhile, the Consti Club Z trio of Paul Merrill, Dan Merrill and John Harris secured their spot by beating another Consti Club Z side and Green Dragon Z.
Elsewhere, a Division A catch-up fixture saw second placed Royal Mail Cart edge a narrow 5-4 away win at Consti Club C.
Trailing 4-3, Cart turned the match around through singles wins from Chilvers and Fidler.
The impressive Fidler, partnered by Stu Page, also produced an 18-dart leg in their pairs game.
On-song Ash Allen also fired a 17-dart leg in his 2-1 singles victory over Jimmy Robinson, while Jacob Herd and Jordan Philpott added an 18-dart pairs leg.
Herd also struck two 180s on the night, with Paul Faulkner adding another maximum for the Mail Cart.
In Division B, Consti Club D recorded a comfortable 7-2 away win at bottom side Green Dragon C, where Harry Lynch claimed the Dragon’s only singles success with a 2-0 win over Dean Drage.
Pinchbeck FC C earned a 6-3 home victory against the Pied Calf, with Alan Austen and Josh Burton securing the final two singles to seal the result.
